Wolverton 5
Wolverton 5 on Garmin
Club Championship race, 2nd male
5 mile under 30mins - great result. I deserved that. I couldn't keep up with Gill though, I thought I would be stronger but no way.

2013 London Marathon
21st April 2013
Had to pull out this year as my hernia op in February meant that there would be very little training. Decided instead to volunteer as a marshal at the start. This involved guiding runners from the train station to the start.
Organised by Bedford Harriers, a bus left Bedford at 4am enabling us to be in London by 6 and at our marshaling point by 7am.
I thoroughly enjoyed the few hours 'herding' people to the start areas, answering questions like " Which way to the start"?
Met up with Gemma and watched some of the race before finding a nice east-end cafe for a late fry-up breakfast.
So pleased to receive a silver marathon medal. I'd do it again if not running London.
